Thanking him for his offer to delay his Messenger's departure for England in the event that he had letters he wished to include but saying that "in consequence of the Circumstances contained in the Newspaper of the 10th which are merely the Consequences of what we knew before -- I can take no steps till I receive orders from home after what has passed!"
