Commenting on the pension awarded to him by Parliament and saying that he felt it should have been higher and he should have also been given a Title; commenting on the "Change of Administration & of the Cause that occasioned the change -- A Proposition to the King to consent to the Emancipation of the Roman Catholics -- a Proposition that no King of the House of Brunswick could consent to being contrary to the Principles that brought our Family to the Throne & one w'ch if consented to in my Opinion would be attended with the most serious & dangerous Consequences to this Country -- Nothing far short of the Overturning our Church & Constitution -- Mr. Pitt not being able to obtain His Majesty's Consent to this Proposition retired;" discussing the Congress at Amiens and the "Definitive Peace;" saying he was told "by a very great Man that the Whole Business would be concluded before the End of November;" saying he hopes to see him after he returns from France.
