Summary
Thanking him for his letter and with regard to "our worthy friend Prevost, whom you may assure that I will make the attempt to get him one of the American Consulships by speaking to Lord Castlereagh but it would be most uncandid not to add that I have very little insight indeed in that quarter, and that I dare not be sanguine of success...;" adding that he has no information on the "intended boundary line between Canada and Nova Scotia" but recommending he contact Lieutenant Colonel Bouchette, Surveyor General of Lower Canada.
