Commenting on the intended Mutiny that Wetherall had reported in a recent letter; reporting news of Buonaparte's imminent return to Paris and news of Sweden and Russia; saying "In regard to Russia we have still the assurance that the Emperor has declared to Lord Cathcart his determination not to listen to any overtures of Peace, but while [illegible] i at his Elbow, what faith can we [illegible] in such declarations!!;" reporting on news of the Seige of the Castle of Burgos; saying that "we look forward to the probability of Lord Wellington attempting to force a general action with [Nicolas] Soult;" relating family news.
