A notebook containing thirteen locks of hair, most of which are braided and affixed to the page with wax and a decorative ribbon. An unidentified hand, probably of a child, has penciled names near each of the locks of hair. The final leaf contains a verse (beginning "If to the north thou will sail with me") and sketches of a bird, a woman, and calligraphic trials of the letter "H."
