Summary
Informing him that the Duke of York has officially offered him the post of "supreme Military Command" in British North America and that he is likely to leave England in a month; saying "that my having taken the determination of accepting this Situation for the express purpose of being able to clear myself of all my debts in the course of the next three years, has had the happiest effect possible from his Majesty down to those of the lowest Class who are acquainted with me and my motives...;" informing him that he has secured the commission of Adjutant General for him; outlining changes that need to be made to his staff; discussing his needs for horses and carriages; giving him permission to carry out his instructions for work to be done at The Lodge; expressing his pleasure that the situation has been resolved between him [Wetherall] and General Murray.
