Requesting $2,000 to start a Girl's Boarding School in Montana; saying that the donor could name the school; adding that he "will not take the risk of starting such an enterprise without means. It might compromise all my other work & saddle me with a burden that wd. kill me. Of course, I should raise all I possibly cd. for it in Helena. How much that wd. be no man knows."
