Responding to Langford's request for "a condensed statement concerning the work in [his] diocese for which [he receives] appropriations from the Board"; pointing out that half the work of Kansas is done by Langford's missionaries; noting that he only has one clergyman for every 40,000 inhabitants, and nearly everyone "has from two to six stations."
