Regretfully declining Perry's invitation to visit him in Iowa on his way to North Dakota; discussing some pictures they ordered; commenting on a meeting in Albany; praising Bishop [Henry C.] Potter's sermon as "a strong, convincing, and ... positively eloquent argument for the Cathedral in America"; going on at length about what a wonderful orator Potter was.
