Saying he is finding it very difficult to get "reliable facts concerning Bethesda" for the sketch he is writing; saying he may not be able to meet the March 1st deadline; surmising that if there were "papers of importance, I fancy they perished in the fire wh. destroyed the buildings & put an end to Bethesda."
