Summary
Acknowledging receipt of a letter from Bishop Vail with the details for the consecration of the Bishop-Elect of Nevada and Utah [Abiel Leonard]; quoting from a letter of reply to Bishop Vail saying that he does "not think it would be wisest or most dignified to invite the Junior Bishop of us all (Talbot) to be the Preacher. I know Mr. Leonard wants him. But my vote would be to invite Dudley of Ky. to be such Preacher;" asking Bishop Vail to inform Bishop Perry of his wishes and to let him know what they both decide."
