The arrangement of the collection is by Bishops in the order of their consecration and chronological within their portion of the collection. The recipient is not identified, but Bishop Stevens is replying to a request for a photograph; similar requests have been made to each Bishop in the collection by Lewis Jacob Cist, therefore, it is possible Mr. Cist was the recipient.
