Summary
Expressing his satisfaction with his "Personal Narrative;" saying "What a joy it is to remember those good days and those glorious people; the very ideal of Christian gentle folks;" complimenting him on the "fidelity of your pen sketches of the characters who were prominent. It is a happy and certainly remarkable facility you have for you do not repeat yourself whilst giving due [illegible] of praises to each. Your words are like an artists colours; the same used in every portrait and yet the touch, the light and shadows and the drawing make one forget that the palette bears only seven hues;" sending Christmas wishes to him and Mrs. Perry.
