Summary
Telling him that he cannot "authenticate the photograph enclosed in your letter for it was impossible for me to recognise in it any resemblance to the face I sometimes see reflected. The one now enclosed is better and is said to be somewhat of a resemblance. Pardon me for destroying the other and accept the enclosed."
