Responding to the circular sent by Bishop Potter (MA 368.130) soliciting clergy to be part of a lecture series in Philadelphia; accepting the invitation to participate and discussing his topic; asking if the participants shouldn't be "warned against too abstract and unpopularized a treatment of their subject?" asking if the discourses will be edited before they are printed; asking that he be notified well in advance if the series should not go forward.
