Giving his opinion on their "Southern Brethren"; telling him that he thinks the Northern bishops should reach out to the Southern bishops in order to have their "old society restored"; warning that all bishops will not sign any letter to the Southern bishops; stating that he thinks "our Church at the South, as a Church, as well as in her members did do a very great deal to bring on the war"; providing his address in case Hopkins comes to visit him.
