Summary
Expressing his pleasure that he has come to Vermont; saying "No Bishop--I know what I say--ever entered the field of his future labours in a happier state of circumstances. You have the confidence of every clergyman, and the affections of all who know you. I have been delighted at the state of feeling manifested among the Laity. Indeed, brother, you have come to a virgin Church;" discussing his visitation schedule; adding that he "had two days of great anxiety in New York, as I will explain when I see you.--Poor Mrs. Doane is at the Insane Hospital in Hartford, Con."
