Summary
Replying to his request for critical feedback on a proposed publication on the Parables; offering a detailed critique on the merits of such a publication; questioning whether he wants to take on such a broad topic that would bring with it intense scrutiny concerning its scholarship; asking if it would be "wise for one so young to the Ministry to commit himself to views which he might afterwards live to repent of & wish blotted out?" saying that his comments are "directed against immediate publication" but encouraging him to continue to study the subject and broaden and deepen his scholarship; asking if he has heard of the "wretched fate of poor Jackson."
