Summary
Saying he will abide by whatever decision is made but he still hopes that a compromise can be reached [on the church to be used for the opening service of the General Convention]; asking him, in a postscript, to "hold as confidential' a portion of a letter he has from Bishop McIlvaine; adding "I do not agree with the Bp: but I do not think he is justly liable to severe anamadversion [sic]."
