It is unclear to whom Bishop Smith is writing, but it is possible it was to the editor of The Churchman's Monthly (Volume 1, no. 7, July 1854, p. 442), writing in the "Editor's Table" on the charges brought against Bishop Smith by Dr. Waller.
Kalorama was the home of Bishop Smith and his wife and was located outside Louisville, Kentucky.
