Asking if he can recommend anyone for the "Bp White scholarship"; mentioning that he showed Hopkins's last letter to "Br Hawkes who appears to be in every respect a very fine fellow -- full of zeal -- & very anxious upon the subject of clerical education"; saying that he thinks Hawkes would move to Pittsburgh to assist Hopkins in establishing a theological school; commenting on a dispute between [Henry U.] Onderdonk and some other clergymen.
