Summary
Asking for his advice in establishing a high school near the Seminary in Alexandria, "for the double purpose of preparing our candidates for the Seminary & of making a full trial of religion in connection with literary education upon the minds of our youth. I have long thought that such an Institution might be made to answer all most all the most important ends of a College, without the fearful exposure to the many temptations of Colleges."
