Summary
Introducing him and Miss White to a young gentleman, Mr. Lee, who will be visiting Philadelphia; expressing concern that he does not see in the Journal of the Convention a Canon which gave the Bishops more authority over "Delinquent Clergymen. At present the Business is generally left to ye Vestries, who are too remiss whilst great Evils are experienced from ye Impunity with which a Clergyman may transgress;" adding that a Bishop should be responsible for the conduct of his Clergy.
