Summary
Concerning the union with the Southern churches; saying he has "several times proposed and urged a union" but he believes it was received "coldly;" adding that he "has received several letters urging such a union on me as tho' I was the only person who opposed it--this is not fair--I am ready to treat of and settle the terms of union on any proper notice. But Bps W[hite] & P[rovoost] must bear their part in it actively as well as myself."
