Summary
Concerning a recent fire in Westminster Hall; inquiring about the "nature of the mischief, or the content of the danger;" adding that it will be "of great consequence to be thoroughly informed of them; because, considering the multitude of persons who will be assembled, It would be a very serious calamity, even if the danger were not thoroughly over, and the certainty of it clear. In this case, It would be wise to adjourn over the Trial. Therefore, without giving you any more trouble about it to night, when it will doubtless be carefully watched, I can only advise that you will order such accounts of it to be given you tomorrow, as will make it perfectly evident, that nothing more is to be apprehended from it."
