Acknowledging receipt of letters and goods; commenting on the ice on the river which will prevent ships access until spring; thanking him for publishing his speeches and saying that they "will give you an Idea of our Situation with regard to the Indians;" referring to his commission of a replica of his "Father's Picture from Mr. Chamberlyne's.....as our Dining Room remains unfurnished for Want of them;" discussing other requests for items he would like sent to him and arrangements for payment.
