Summary
Relating details of his ten-week sail from Portsmouth to America; referring to "...some Poetic Pieces of our young Geniuses" which were sent to him [Strahan] and which he encourages him to publish; commenting on the British military victory in Havana; saying that "I hope it will, in the Making of Peace, procure us some Advantages in Commerce or Possession that may in time countervail the heavy Loss we have sustained in that Enterprize;" asking for news of "all he Politicks;" adding that he hopes, in two years time, to "remove to England."
