Summary
Informing him that "a Bill was moved by Lord North to continue the act for the regulation of the E. India Co. for one year and to leave them in possession of the territorial revenues for the same period ......You must not expect any reasons from me for this Procrastination, I know of none but the prepare of other Business which would either have permitted this most important one to pass off quietly, or would have been very properly and very usefully interrupted by It;" adding that "....I can only say that I am guiltless of the Inaction you have so just a right to censure, and sincerely concerned that I have remonstrated against It in vain."
