Summary
Commenting on certain officers using ciphers to refer to them as "7", "6", "5" and "11;" commenting on the size of the Regiment and saying that he does "not place an implicit faith in all I hear---but you may depend upon our being as ill prepared here, as anybody can wish;" adding, in a postscript, that "Livius will give you the Key to the others."
