Summary
Relating family news after several recent visits with Mrs. Francis; relating the support for Mr. Francis in England; commenting on the "American War not concluded, France & we at variances yet no Declaration. Camps formed in different parts of the Kingdom - incursions expected, all bears a frightful aspect, yet England is the best place to be in & we were lucky to come as we did;"saying she is sending over a piece of marble with her late husband's age and time of death "to be put upon his Tomb" and asking that he see that it is executed.
