Thanking him for a letter, noting that the fruit he sent has not arrived and remarking that he will have few opportunities of wearing the Indian dresses he sent as the masquerade has already passed. Noting that his friend has had an execution in his house and is ruined, blaming the events as "a natural consequence of keeping a whore, post chaise & country house."
