Kotzebue left on his expedition July 30, 1815 and returned in 1818.

Summary
Apologizing for not getting him the French translation of Admiral Sarychev's voyages as he had promised but telling him that if there are any particular aspects of Sarychev's voyages that interest him, he will be happy to translate those for him; saying that the Emperor [Alexander I] is till abroad but that he has dispatched Captain Kotzebue on his voyage and he has returned to Reval where he will stay until the Emperor returns to Russia.
