Commiserating about the unpleasantness of sea voyages, hoping that he never has to travel across any water greater than the sound; enclosing a letter from his wife (Macrabie's sister) but reporting that "there is really nothing new about me, except a fine Suit of Embroidery" that he purchased on his recent trip to Holland, and mentioning that he has sold all of his land in India, with a net profit of £213.16 and a half-yearly dividend of £50.
