Summary
The proceedings of a meeting held by the Scotsmen of Philadelphia to commemorate the life of Sir Walter Scott and mourn his death. Resolving that the attendees of the meeting wear crape on their left arms for thirty days to publicly mourn and that the proceedings of the meeting be published in the Philadelphia newspapers. Signed by the officers of the society, including James McAlpine, president.
