Summary
Saying how glad he is to hear that their healths are improved and encouraging them to stay in Yorkshire as long as they continue to improve; remarking that he is also well. Remarking that "since the most deplorable of all tragedies" [the execution of Marie Antoinette] he has heard no great news, but mentioning some battles. Remarking that he cannot think of anything but the Queen of France, noting "Long as I have lived, I had not conceived that human nature was capable of such execrable barbarity and mediated wanton malice as the French have committed within these five years;" eulogizing Marie Antoinette, remarking "no legendary writer, no epic poet could have dared to draw so perfect a character." Also mentioning some mutual acquaintances and noting that the paper has some good news.
