Summary
Remarking on the difficulty of affirming reports before he sends them on and calling into question the report concerning the Prince Saxe Coburg; confirming, however, that "the worst news of all" the death of the Queen of France is true although "the particular horrors I do not know." Describing a dinner party with mutual acquaintances at his sister's the evening before and discussing their healths; remarking on Mrs. Damer's betrayal of his trust regarding his recent indisposition.
