Summary
Sharing news that he has just learned concerning arrests in France, noting "the rage at Paris seems to increase daily or hourly," and feeling for the "most suffering victim of them all," Marie Antoinette. Continuing the letter on Wednesday morning, 11 o'clock: saying that he visited Cliveden, and that it "never looked more like a paradise." Continuing the letter Thursday morning, 17th, past ten: thanking them for a letter and discussing their healths; remarking on some news reported in the papers.
