Summary
Remarking that he will begin posting his letters on Fridays instead of Tuesdays; noting that one reason for the delay this week is that he wants to report on Mr. Pitt's message from the King [concerning the Russian-Turkish war], which will be delivered to Parliament the following week; mentioning the "Autocratrix" (Catherine II) and her response concerning Constantinople and Prussia; alluding to peace between the Prince of Wales and the Queen; giving further developments of the Elizabeth Gunning scandal. Continuing the letter on Sunday night: referencing the Russian-Turkish war; noting that Pitt is scheduled to address Parliament the following day. Continuing the letter on Tuesday morning: thanking her for a kind letter, instructing her not to change their plans for him and apologizing again for his "complaining letter."
