Summary
Thanking her for a letter from Turin; regretting that they received none of his letters there, noting that he did not know he needed to add "Par Paris" to the direction; regretting that they have been subjected to bad inns during their journey and hoping that Florence is restful, advising them to go to Pisa if it is too cold in Florence. Saying he is glad that they met the Bishop of Arras; hoping that his previous letters reach them; sending regards from the Duchess of Gloucester; complaining that Miss Foldson (later Mrs. Ann Mee) has not sent him [the portraits of Mary and Agnes Berry]; intending to stay at Strawberry Hill until the weather worsens; referencing again unrest on the Continent and saying how relieved he is that they are alright.
