Summary
Thanking her for a letter and relating his anxiety at reading of their encounter with revolutionaries in Burgoin; instructing her to burn all of his letters, fearing that they might be misinterpreted; telling her not to fatigue herself with writing him long letters, and expressing relief that they are already at Chamberry; remarking that he will send word of their safe arrival to Miss Seton and Mrs. Damer. Continuing the letter from Berkeley Square on Tuesday 15th: noting that he has passed a quiet time in town and that he has no news.
