Summary
Wishing for more letters but saying he is glad that they have had such fine weather for their journey; mentioning Mrs. Damer's upcoming travels. Saying he is glad that they "had the amusement of seeing the National Assembly," and wondering if Mr. Berry found it "quite so august as he intended it to be." Looking forward to the publication of Burke's pamphlet [Reflections on the Revolution in France] the following day and noting that Calonne has published a "thumping" one of 440 pages, which Walpole has begun reading. Giving some court gossip and praising her description of the National Assembly and Champ de Mars; asking after their healths; mentioning that Miss Seton called on him; and noting that he intends to go to Park Place on Saturday the 6th.
