Summary
Returning the first six sheets, corrected, of Atherton Wylde [i.e., Frances Ellen Colenso's My Chief and I...] and asking him to forward a letter to Col. Durnford [Edward, the brother of Col. Anthony William Durnford, a central figure in Colenso's My Chief and I...]. Remarking that the book is clever and will probably sell, but that it is "shamelessly personal" and stands to subject the author or publisher to a libel suit. Remarking that if he was the author's father, he would not like to see the book published.
