Summary
Saying he has been "down with my confounded spasms again and forgot all about the packet. The 2 days are over and I am just out of the wood;" saying he may be having his step-father and mother with him at "T.W. [Tunbridge Wells] but "where am I to sit and how am I to work with those old folks in a house wh. is already too full?" adding that he received a letter "in the most prostrate repentance" from Langley [his secretary] but that he intended "to stick to his resignation."
