Summary
Changing the title of a work from Lady Kicklebury's Tour to Doctor Birch and his Young Friends because the events abroad [the revolutions in Germany that followed the French Revolution of February 1848] make the first title too serious. Discussing his work on the designs for illustrating the story, and asking him to send a steel plate big enough for four of the drawings to Mr. Marvy, who will etch them.
