Writing only to say that she is not ill and will return from the country on Saturday and assuring him that she did not find the latest number [of Pendennis] dull. Discussing his busy life, saying she is glad that his family is going off to Paris because "it will take off one of yr parts for a time -- that of a family man, -- & you will only have the author & the Major & the "satirist" & the sentimentalist &c &c &c to keep up;" further remarking that she thinks he is "living too fast" and fearing for his health.
