Summary
Thanking him for the book, noting that she just had time to read it on the journey. Noting that her husband arrived after her and was so appaled at the lack of a dressing room that he is staying at Mr. Fanshawe's; mentioning mutual acquaintances and describing the geeral uproar in her household. Remarking on how tired she is of replying when people ask how she likes Pendennis, noting that her responses would be "quite likely to provoke you to through a book at my head, which I feel quite inclined to do to myself."
