Summary
Remarking that after five days as a poet, he understands why they become selfish, noting that he has thought of nothing but himself and his rhymes and that he has not seen the children except at night. Mentioning that after a trial of speaking at Willis's, he also understands how orators become "humbugs and selfish in their way too." Mentioning a visit to the "Christial Palace" where "the great calm leviathan steam-engines and machines lying alongside like [a] great line of battle ships did wonderfully move me."
