Notes
The date of writing of his program is taken from an article written by J.F. Boyes, titled "A Memorial of Thackeray's School-Days" and published in The Cornhill Magazine in January 1865; Boyes is writing about Thackeray's school-days from the age of thirteen to sixteen; he makes specific mention of the autograph program which would place the date of writing between 1824 and 1827. Thackeray attended the Charterhouse School in Surrey from 1822 to 1828.
