Summary
Apologizing for not writing sooner; saying he's been very busy with his work for the Ministry of Information, his novel, his reviewing and the articles he's been writing; saying he made a tour of Scotland for the Ministry of Information; relating news of Olivia's progress now that she is 4 1/2 years old; saying how much he misses their home, Old Tokefield, [Cranleigh in Surrey] but how grateful he is that they can be away from the bombing; adding that he longs "to see the wicked over in Berlin at their last gasp! The rest we can deal with, bad as the Far East looks. But until the prime rascals are disposed of we shan't sleep easy."
