Summary
Hoping to see him in town before leaving for the country after Easter; saying he is delighted to hear about his discoveries, but regretting that there is "no comedy of St. Cyril's forthcoming after all," and mentioning Victor Hugo. Remarking that he is working on a history of the metrical progress of Shakespeare; asking if he read his article on Wells's "Joseph" in the February Fortnightly Review, mentioning that he has just received an odd letter from the author.
